Business group joins suit over school funding. Gary Scharrar, Chron.com
Some of the education-related parties in the litigation are not pleased that Hammond's group is trying to piggyback on their efforts to get more money for public education and more equity.I'm guessing this is the 'official' editorial position taken by ChronBlog, that only the groups demanding more money, more equitably distributed are "education-based". That leaves open the question of what the Texas Association of Business is now, a group that's also focusing on education but also wanting a full cost analysis performed before additional funding is approved.
It's sad that it's come to this, but it's where we are in policy debate in Texas.
For the worse apparently, given how things are progressing.
