More news you needed.....

..same as the first verse but now even MORE out of date!

I know that, as a news consumer, what I'm looking for in a sidebar is news that's 14 days past the expiration date.

Around two weeks ago Dunta Robinson said "thank you" to Houston before signing with Atlanta, the Daughter of the IRS plane crash called her father a "hero" (later she backed away from that, which is NOT news one guesses) and some lady in Kansas City admitted to poisoning the salsa at a Mexican food restaurant.

According to the ChronBlog sidebar these are still relevant, working stories. Petty items such as the earthquake in Chile, healthcare reform & ShredMetro are not.

Maybe they are trying to copy Dwight Silverman's whimsical opinion page link thingie, which hasn't been updated for a while either -- something I've pointed out on twitter, but he won't see because... I'm blocked! Ah, the Chron's children. :)

So many ideas, so many resources, and so little execution, coherence, or followup at Chron.com

Hey, Dwight finally updated his page link thingie (replete with the javascript error -- another trademark) after nearly a week of neglect!

Always happy when we can help the Chron improve their product. ;)
