Campaigning in North Texas, the governor this morning unveiled a new political ad that's appearing in an odd place: On NASCAR star Bobby Labonte's No. 71 Chevrolet Impala.

While Bill White is criss-crossing Texas trying to convince voters he's not the Democrat his record says he is, Perry's team understands his base, who he is (and isn't) as a politician and focuses on it with laser-like precision.
